*Born in Tukvar Tea Estate near Darjeeling in West Bengal,India.
*He had 3 music teachers :late Mani Kumar Rai, late Surya Roy and now Srimati Anna Pourna Roy.
*Started singing aged 7-8 yrs. and playing the harmonium around 13-14 yrs.old.
* Did grade 6 Indian Classical, then a Bachelors of Music, now undertaking a
Masters of Music through Allahabad University of Music (Prayag Sangeet Maha Bidhavidalaya)
*Taught music for 5 years at Sruti Niketan Sangeet Maha Bidhavalaya/ Indian
Classical and vocal. Went back to India in 2005 to teach some old students there.
*Has won Best Composer in Darjeeling District 3 Times.
*Has done many performances in his district and has organised many school musical programmes and functions.
*Recorded one bhajan cassette and on All India Radio and T.V.
*Been in Australia nearly 6 years teaching Indian music.
*D.K. is available to teach mainly harmonium, vocal,Indian electric piano, composition in Indian Classical and Modern Songs,as well as Gorkhe music.
He's available to do performances.Private and group tuition is available.
*Has performed at Hindu Association functions and at Temples and private Pujas in Australia.
*Can do repairs to harmoniums and any drum tuning.
